Pastoral and Mission Care Directorate

The Directorate of Pastoral Care and Mission is composed of the; Chaplaincy, Counseling, Family Life, Arts in Medicine and Social Work units. Through these units, the Directorate provides person centered spiritual and psycho-social support based pastoral care to; patients and their families and the hospital staff. At Mater Misericordiae hospital, Pastoral care is an integral part of health care and a way of giving expression to the commitment to holistic care and to a faith vision of life.

Spiritual and Sacramental care in the wards from 10am – 12pm, 3pm – 4pm. The Chaplains are on call. Grief facilitation when need arises. Celebration of the Eucharist in the Hospital Chapel on Sundays at 11am, Saturdays and Public Holidays at 9am and weekdays at 1pm.
